The landmark Montecito Inn at the east end of Coast Village Road is seeking a new tenant for its 2,513 square-foot restaurant & bar. The space, located at 1295 Coast Village Rd and currently called the Montecito Café, is offered for lease by Liam Murphy of Hayes Commercial Group and will be available to a new tenant later this year.
The four-star hotel’s pedigree and impeccable location have recently been enhanced by extensive renovations of the property to provide a world-class experience for guests. To complete the picture, the owners are conducting a comprehensive search for a seasoned operator with the vision and passion to create a successful restaurant that will be the centerpiece of Coast Village Road.
“Coast Village Road has been undergoing a gradual makeover in recent years, including the Honor Bar property, improvements underway at Coast Village Plaza, and even service stations that are being renovated,” Murphy said. “The Montecito Inn is embracing the relaxed sophistication of this renewal, with an eye to retaining the history and charm of the lower village.”
“The restaurant is one of the first views a guest encounters as they enter the lower village or walk through the doors into the hotel lobby.” Murphy added. “As such, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a restaurateur to create an inspiring dining experience that engages both the Montecito community and hotel guests.”
